Statement from Cary Cooper Encyclopedia Editor:
"It is very exciting to finally see the second edition of this major management reference source appear in print. The Blackwell Encyclopedia of Management provides unparalleled coverage of the whole field; this has been an amazing feat of coordination!
I'd like to mention a few of the updates to the Encyclopedia that will maintain its position as a state-of-the-art resource for libraries around the world. On the editorial side, I am particularly pleased to welcome Bill Starbuck, from the Stern School of Business at NYU, who joins Harvard Business School's Chris Argyris, (co-founder with me of the first edition) as Advisory Editor.
New volume editors include: Colin Clubb and John McGee, from the Warwick Business School; Sue Cartwright and Ian Garrett, Manchester Business School; Henry Lane, Northeastern University, Boston and Jeanne McNett, Assumption College.
In addition, we've added over 30% new material to the Encyclopedia, plus an entirely new volume, the 12th, on entrepreneurship, edited by Michael Hitt and R. Duane Ireland of Texas A&M University. As always, the Encyclopedia brings you the latest scholarship from Harvard, IMD, INSEAD, London Business School, London School of Economics, Michigan, Stanford and over 300 other leading business schools world-wide.
Finally, for libraries with online reference works, the second edition of the Blackwell Encyclopedia of Management will be available later in 2005 through EBSCO Host along with the Blackwell Handbooks and Companions reference series, offering researchers, students and instructors a truly powerful source of the latest thinking and information in the management field.
